Inspired by the style of Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads and that of traditional storytelling by a single narrator, this play weaves four humorous and moving narratives into one man’s story of love and loss, buses, taxis and cakes. We are brought gently into the life of John as he recovers from the loss of his wife and discovers the pleasures and challenges of travelling on Edinburgh buses, talking to a London taxi driver, babysitting, sampling Turkish pastries and experiencing the perils, fun and misunderstandings of online dating for the older man. Charming, funny and moving.
