Hilary Peppiette: Companions at the End of Life – The Work of a Death Doula

Death doulas support dying people and their families practically, emotionally and spiritually, to help them have the best possible quality of life right up to the end, and then to have the best death they can. As a private client solicitor for over 20 years, Hilary helped clients plan for the ends of their lives via Wills, Powers of Attorney and Advance Directives. Now, as an end-of-life doula, she helps people living with life limiting illness to take back control of their deaths. The mortality rate in Scotland remains at 100%. Hear how end-of-life doulas help to make death better.

EDIT 21/8/18: This talk will now be led by Mary Clear, a doula colleague of Hilary’s.
